ЄΠI TI KΛAV ΦIΛЄINOV CTPA, draped bust of Roma-Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet and aegis / ЄΠI MAPKЄΛΛOV CAPΔIANΩN TO B, tetrastyle temple with pellet in pediment. According to Strabo (12.569), Kremna and the other cities of Pisidia were initially captured by Amyntas, the commander of the Galatian auxiliary army of Brutus and Cassius, who was proclaimed king of Galatia and Pisidia. Octavian allowed him to remain king until his death in 25 B.C., after which Cremna (Mon.Anc. 28; Strabo 12.569) was converted into a Roman colony (Colonia Iulia Augusta [Felix] Cremnena, CIL III, 6873). -
