LIFE-SIZE CHINESE HAN TOMB GUARDIAN TERRACOTTA DOG

23 1/4 in. (13.25 kg, 59 cm wide).

Hollow-formed in crouching pose with the rear legs folded beneath the body; thick tubular neck with lappet to each cheek, gaping mouth with protruding tongue, bulbous eyes in deep sockets, large pricked ears with central holes;

Ex London gentleman, previously from Hong Kong collection.

Accompanied by an original thermoluminescence analysis report no.C125q40 by Oxford Authentication.
This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate number no.13007-246344.
