Large Roman Bronze Wine Strainer
1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
12 1/4 in. (1.62 kg total, sieve: 31 cm wide).
Comprising a deep bowl with vertical sides, narrow everted flange rim, flat-section handle with incised lattice pattern; perforated with running-scroll pattern to the sidewall and intersecting arcs to the base forming rosettes; mounted on a custom-made stand. [No Reserve]

From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000.
From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
