Large Indus Valley Terracotta Footed Goblet
2ND MILLENNIUM B.C.
9 in. (1.6 kg, 22.5 cm).
Formed as two conical bowls conjoined with flange rims, bands of painted geometric patterning over red surface, pellets and fish to the upper face, slashed strokes to the rim. [No Reserve]

Property of a London gentleman; from his father's collection formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
From the private collection of John Meredith, acquired since the 1990s; thence by descent.
