Large Calligraphic Carnelian Gem in Silver-Coloured Metal Pendant
LATE 20TH CENTURY A.D.
2 5/8 in. (45 grams, 68 mm).
The scalloped frame with articulate bail, cut and polished carnelian plaque inscribed with calligraphic Arabic script and ornate floral sprigs; pierced geometric flower and possible maker's marks in comma-shaped cartouches to reverse. [No Reserve]
