Large Bactrian Pottery Chalice
2ND-1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
10 3/8 in. (1.41 kg, 26.4 cm high).
Pedestal shape with flared foot and slender shank supporting a wide dish with shallow recess; the upper face with panels of painted net-decoration and other geometric designs.

In grave I the remains of a noblewoman show complex garment decoration, making use of bracteates, including triangles of gold with a granulated finish, double lozenges in turquoise, lapis lazuli and pyrites, and a square bracteate with turquoise inlaid work. -
