Kingdom of Macedon, Philip III Arrhidaios AR Drachm. Struck under Menander or Kleitos, circa 322-319/8 BC. Sardes mint. In the name and types of Alexander III.

Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied beneath chin / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated to left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, holding long sceptre in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing to right with closed wings; torch in left field, A beneath throne. Price 2637; Müller 31; SNG Copenhagen 878. Near Very Fine. Toned. Double struck of reverse.(3.96gr, 16mm, 3h.).
