Judaea, Legionary Countermarks AE 25mm. Circa 81/2-132/5 CE. Sebaste or Aelia Capitolina mint. Legio X Fretensis issue.

Flavian bust to right / Two c/m's over uncertain host coin: LXF (for Legio X Fretensis) above boar advancing to right within rectangular incuse and galley to right within rectangular incuse. Hendin 1609; for countermarks: Howgego 291 and 409. Countermarks: Near Very Fine.(10.94gr, 25mm.).

From a specialist collection of Judaean coins of a late gentleman collector (collector's and Forum Ancient Coins' ticket included).
