Islands off Caria. Rhodos, Rhodes AR Hemidrachm. Circa 170-150 BC. ΑΘΑΝΟΔΩΡΟΣ (Athanodoros), magistrate. 'Plinthophoric' coinage.
Radiate head of Helios facing slightly to right / ΑΘΑΝΟΔΩΡΟΣ, rose with bud to right; kerykeion to left; all within incuse square. Jenkins, Rhodian, Group B, 43; HN Online 881; HGC 6, 1462. Very Fine.(1.43gr, 12mm, 12h.).
