Iron Age Celtic 'The Mashbury' Enamelled Terret Mount
2ND CENTURY BC-1ST CENTURY AD
1 1/2" (28 grams, 37mm).
A substantial bronze rectangular plate mount with enamel-filled cells to the face, reserved La Tène triskele and ring; enamel in red, yellow and blue; two attachment loops to the reverse and inked accession number '029-A0004'.
Provenance
Found Mashbury Parish, Essex, UK, in the 1980s; collection number 029-A0004; accompanied by a copy of the Portable Antiquities Scheme report number ESS-049E64.
