Indus Valley Terracotta Seated Fertility Figure
4TH-3RD MILLENNIUM B.C.
5 in. (52 grams, 12.5 cm).
With applied dome-shaped hair falling to the shoulders, a small pinched nose and impressed holes for eyes, bands of necklaces to the chest and large breasts below, legs together and bent at the knee.

Ex David Gold collection; by repute from a group catalogued by the late Professor Lambert in the 1980s.
From the private collection of John Meredith, acquired since the 1990s; thence by descent.
