GREEK HELLENISTIC GOLD HAIR PIN

Circa 4th-2nd century BC. A gold dress pin comprising a fine round-section pointed shaft topped with a gold granule; an openwork filigree disc with scroll and granule detailing and central spherical red (carnelian?) bead; a pair of filigree volute scrolls beneath the disc.
