Roman Handled Storage Vessel

2nd-3rd century AD

A ceramic jar with red pigment to the surface, bulbous body and broad neck, chamfered rim and strap handle. 380 grams, 16.7cm (6 1/2"). Fine condition. [No Reserve]

From a private collection; previously in an old central Asian collection; acquired in the late 1940s.
