Group of Two [2] English Coin Weights. Time of James I and George III (17th-19th century AD).

England, James I AE Weight of 22 Shillings for a Gold Unite. I•R•BRI., crowned and cuirassed half-length bust of James I to right, holding sceptre and globus cruciger / Crowned XXII S. Dieu 104. (9.40gr).
England. George III AE Weight of Half Guinea. DWT GR 2 16, crown below / TOWER STANDARD 1771 in four lines. (3.97gr). For Guineas coined since the 31st of December 1771. Condition as seen.(13.37gr total, 18-15mm.).

Provenance

From the collection of a late Gloucestershire collector; and from the collection of a Buckinghamshire, UK, collection established from the earlier 1960s.
