Illegible inscription, crowned facing bust / CIV[...]RACI, long cross pattée with pellet-in-quatrefoil at centre; triple pellets in quarters. Cf. SCBC 2062 or 1924. 0.90gr, 16mm, 6h.
Fine. Double struck of obverse.
Found Norfolk, UK. Accompanied by copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report, with reference no. NMS-0205AE.
The pellet-in-quatrefoil in the centre resembles that on the Penny of Henry VI (SCBC 1924) but due to the double struck of the obverse, neither the leaf on the king's breast nor the pellets flanking the crown are clearly visible. -
