Head of Athena with profile eye to right, wearing disc earring and Attic helmet; Aramaic letter 'shin' on cheek / Owl standing to right, head facing the viewer, olive sprig and crescent(?) in upper left field, all within shallow incuse circle. Unpublished in the standard references including Huth and Gitler & Tal. 3.87gr, 13mm, 3h.
About Fine. Exceedingly rare; apparently unpublished with this letter on Athena's cheek and possibly unique.

Persia. Achaemenid Empire, Time of Artaxerxes III to Darios III AE Unit. Circa 350-333 BC. Uncertain mint in Ionia or Caria.
