Greek Italic Silver Fibula

Black burnished ceramic urn with conical lower body, two flared loop handles, bell-shaped upper body and flat everted rim; band of incised chevrons to the equator, horizontal linear bands and ropework key patterns; one handle restored. 2 kg, 25 cm high

Such urns were often deposited with the cremated remains inside, one handle broken off (perhaps part of the funerary rites) and in some case a bronze crested helmet placed over the top of the urn.

Creamware body with broad neck and pear-shaped body, trumpet-shaped base; ribbed strap handles extending to the everted rim; painted with dense zones of concentric black chevrons, rings, and other geometric ornament, red detailing. 1.12 kg, 23.5 cm high

Each composed of a pair of bifacial addorsed horse-heads with filigree and granule detailing, filigree loop to each mouth, coil to each forehead, six loops to the underside each with a chain and sheet gold fruit pendant; to each face an inset glass cabochon; one with twisted wire ear hook above; both earrings with ancient chain dangles, one with a replicant horse. 18.08 grams total, 58-64 mm
