GREEK GOLD REPOUSSé BRACTEATE SET
4TH CENTURY BC
8 3/4" (138 grams including stand, total 22cm wide, 14.7cm high).

A set of round repoussé rosettes, each with various subjects including a male mask, bold with long beard, a female mask, wearing earrings, the hair styled in a chignon, a child's mask and Medusa mask with snakes around the neck, small dots around the border and three holes for attachment, professionally mounted on a custom display stand.

PROVENANCE:
Property of an American collector; acquired on the London art market before 1991; previously in a European private collection, acquired in the 1970s.
