Greek Gold Pomegranate-Shaped Pendant

Formed of sheet-gold with applied loop, a small pearl enclosed within the calyx.

It follows naturally that the pomegranate, with its innumerable fleshy seeds symbolising life and fecundity, was an attribute of Aphrodite.
