GREEK APULIAN OCHRE SLIP KANTHAROS
(Ceramic, 235 grams, 13 cm.).

Circa 4th century BC. A blackware kantharos with pedestal base and elliptical handles, decorated with running scrolls on one face and an ivyleaf spray on the other; Magna Graecian (Apulian) workmanship.

PROVENANCE:
From the estate of a deceased North Country collector, acquired over a 30 year period from the early 1970's; ex A. Szolin Antiquities.
