GREECE - THRACE - CHERRONESOS AUTONOMOUS COINAGE - HEMIDRACHM
(2.17 grams).

480-350 BC. Obv: no legend, forepart of roaring lion right, head turned back. Rev: no legend, quatripartite incuse square. Dot over X in one section, barley corn inwards in another. Unrecorded. Very fine and better.

McClean 4103 var (dot over E); cf Sear 1602-1606. This variant not previously recorded (of over 270 catalogued types).
