Graeco-Bactrian Kingdom, Apollodotos I Soter AR Drachm. Circa 180-160 BC. Uncertain mint in the Paropamisadai or Gandhara. Square module.
ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΠΟΛΛΟΔΟΤΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ, elephant standing to right; monogram of ΠΙ below / 'Maharajasa Apaladatasa tradarasa' in Kharosthi, Zebu standing to right; monogram of ΠΙ below. Bopearachchi 4G; SNG ANS 337-43; HGC 12, 119. Good Very Fine. Areas of delamination.(1.35gr, 16mm, 12h.).
