Gothic Silver Radiate-Head Brooch

LATER 5TH CENTURY A.D.

5 1/4 in. (51.9 grams, 13.3 cm).

Comprising: D-shaped headplate with five radiating beast-head knops to the rim and running scroll to the plate, shallow ribbed bow, pentagonal footplate with lattice detailing and beast-head finial, lateral cells to accept inlay; to the reverse pin-lugs and pierced lug in place. [No Reserve]
