LATE 17TH-EARLY 18TH CENTURY AD
3/4" (2.57 grams, 18 mm overall, 15.60 mm internal diameter (approximate size British J, USA 4 3/4, Europe 9.0, Japan 8)).
A D-section hoop with deep cut rosette and tendril detail, inscribed to the inner face 'In mind though not in sight' with long 's'.
PROVENANCE:
Found Stoke on Trent, Staffodshire, UK, on 4th November 2012; disclaimed as treasure by the Crown under Treasure case reference number 2012 T813, recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under PAS ID: WMID-38F105. Accompanied by copies of the British Museum and PAS reports.
