PARTHIAN GOLD IBEX FINIAL
2ND CENTURY BC
1 3/4" (23 grams, 44mm).

A fabricated rhyton finial comprising a funicular tube with guilloche border and filigree collar, waisted curve and foreparts of an ibex with filigree and granule detail, forelegs extended, comma-shaped wings joining the shoulders to the tube; pierced to the underside.
