GREEK GOLD, GARNET AND AGATE FILIGREE EARRING PAIR
2ND CENTURY BC
2 1/4" (34 grams total, 55 mm).

A matched pair of earrings, each a hollow crescent with radiating knops to one lower edge, piriform garnets in pelletted cells to the ends and the other lower edge, banded agate sphere and granulated collars, pyramid of hollow gold spheres and piriform garnets in cells below, twisted wire finial, short chain to one side with agate and garnet beads. Ex Dalloul collection; acquired in the 1960s.
