Greek Gold Earring Pair

6th century BC

A matched pair of gold earrings each a crescent hoop tapering to a ribbed tip embellished with filigree and clusters of granulation along the length, coiled wire collars, large granule finial. 6.77 grams total, 20mm each (3/4"). Very fine condition.

Provenance
Property of a North London gentleman; formerly with Christie's, London, 9 December 2008, lot 239; previously in a private Surrey collection; accompanied by original Christie's lot ticket.
