Roman Glass Chalice with Arches

3rd-4th century AD

A pale amber-coloured iridescent glass chalice with flared foot, squat body, everted rim with applied trail arches forming a gallery to the shoulder. 162 grams, 95mm (3 3/4"). Fine condition, base repaired.

Provenance
From a private European collection; formerly in a German collection formed before 2000.
