MEDIEVAL GILT-BRONZE MARY MAGDALEN BOOK MOUNT
13TH-15TH CENTURY AD
1 3/4" (10 grams, 44mm).

A D-section mount of Mary Magdalen with nimbus and loose robe modelled in high relief, hands extended in the attitude of prayer, from a larger group depicting the Crucifixion; two attachment studs to the reverse.

PROVENANCE:
Property of a European gentleman living in Northamptonshire.
