The legend 'I ACCEPT' does not appear in Evans's catalogue although longer forms such as 'Accept my good will' are recorded there. -

Comprising glazed and unglazed vessels, figures and tiles, including examples decorated with figural, geometric, floral and heraldic designs (Beauvais Sgraffito), together with a fire brick displaying a Pelican in Her Piety design. 7.7 kg total, 3.8-43 cm

In medieval Southampton the various forms of pottery included cooking pots with the beaded rim and opposing pair of handles, as it was probably also the specimen presented in this ensemble. Beauvais earthenware is a smooth, fine white fabric with some fine quartz grains. Vessels have a rich lustrous lead glaze and floral designs.
