France. Louis XIV AE Restrike Medal. Dated 1666 but struck possibly 19th century AD. Commemorative issue of Louis XIV Clemency towards the Traitants and the Revocation of the Chamber of Justice. Dies by Michel Molart.
LVDOVICVS MAGNVS REX CHRISTIANISSIMVS, bare head to right; MOLART on truncation / PECVLATORES BONIS MVLCTATI, female figure kneeling to right and emptying a sack of coins in front of Justice, seated to left on throne and holding scales and sword; CLEMENTIA PRINCIPIS• M•D•C•LXVI• and MOLART•F• in three lines in exergue. Extremely Fine.(172gr, 71mm, 12h.).
