BONAPARTE PRIMVS CONSVL, bare head to left; LAVY beneath truncation, ANNO VIII· below / XII· MVNITISSIMIS OPPIDIS VNA DIE AD DEDITIONEM COACTIS, Hercules standing to right and raising Italy seated to left next to dead tree, Victory inscribing HOSTIBVS PROPE MARENGVM FVSIS on shield behind and sun rising in the distance with the star of Napoléon at its centre; A·APP·INV· L·F· to left and right on ground line, RESPVBLICA CISALPINA RESTITVTA in two lines in exergue.
