English Tudor Hammered Coins - Henry VIII - Gold Half Sovereign

1544-1547 AD, third coinage. Obv: king enthroned facing holding orb and sceptre with rose at feet and HENRIC 8 D G AGL FRANCI Z HIBE REX legend with Roman Ns and 'pellet-in-circle' mintmark. Rev: crowned arms with supporters and monogram below with IHS AVTEN TRANSIENS PER MEDIVM ILLORVM IBAT legend with Lombardic Ms and Ns. 6.08 grams.

Near very fine; red tone to flan. Scarce.
