English Medieval Coins - Stephen and the Anarchy - Eustace Fitzjohn - AR Penny Fragment 1140s A.D.
York mint. Obv: evs[t-acivs]+, helmeted and armoured full-length figure standing right, holding sword in right hand, large annulets decorating sword quillon. Rev: cross patteé with barred arms in quatrefoil, annulets on cusps and in spandrels, with legend of ornaments and letters. Very fine, with the best possible remaining part of the flan.(0.66 grams.). [No Reserve]
