Newcastle mint; Roger, son of William, moneyer. I.m: uncertain. Long Cross coinage, class 3c(?). Struck 1248-1250. (?) ҺЄNRICVS RЄX III, crowned facing bust / ROG-ЄR(ligate) O-[N NЄ]-WЄC, voided long cross pommée, with pellet at center and trefoil in each angle. Cf. North 988; cf. SCBC 1364. Very Fine.(1.73gr, 18mm, 1h.).
