Electrotype of AR Didrachm of Satraps of Karia, Pixodaros. 20th century AD.
For prototype: Halikarnassos mint, circa 341/0-336/5 BC. Laureate head of Apollo facing, turned slightly to right / Zeus Labraundos standing to right, holding double-axe (labrys) over shoulder and lotus-tipped sceptre; ΠIΞΩΔAPOY to right, small E between sceptre and leg. HNO 48 (temporary); cf. SNG von Aulock 8047. Very Fine.(9.78g, 24mm, 12h.).
