Divus Vespasian AR Denarius. Struck under Titus, AD 80-81. Rome mint. "Judaea Capta" commemorative.
DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS•, laureate head to right / Slow quadriga to left, with tensa (car) in form of small temple surmounted by statuette of quadriga flanked by Victories holding palm fronds and wreaths; car ornamented with figures of Minerva advancing left and brandishing spear, and garlands; EX S C in exergue. RIC II.1 361 (Titus); Hendin 6616; RSC 146. Extremely Fine. An excellent well-centered and nicely toned example with bold portrait of emperor.(3.60gr, 19mm, 6h.).
