COPPER-ALLOY SHIVA LINGAM SHRINE WITH NANDI AND NAGA
INDIA, CIRCA LATE 19TH-20TH CENTURY A.D.
2 1/4 in. (100 grams, 58 mm wide).

Rectangular shrine with Shiva Lingam arch, rearing cobra before the arch facing reclining Nandi. [No Reserve]

PROVENANCE:
An important collection of Hindu art formed by the late Jeffery Romer in the 1990s.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
