CIRCA 20TH CENTURY A.D.

1 3/4 - 2 1/4 in. (249 grams total, 48-58 mm).

An openwork domed lid with a dog, starburst motifs on its body; offered with a cylindrical matchstick container with the emblem of Uppingham School, England, to one side. [2, No Reserve]

Provenance

An important collection of Hindu art formed by the late Jeffery Romer in the 1990s.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
