Copper-alloy Hanuman Figure with Two Tails
INDIA, CIRCA 18TH-19TH CENTURY A.D.
3 1/4 in. (118 grams, 87 mm).
Depicted in a dynamic pose with his right arm raised and holding a dagger in his left hand, one tail erect and curving behind his head, the other supporting the weight of the body. [No Reserve]
Provenance
An important collection of Hindu art formed by the late Jeffery Romer in the 1990s.
