On back, manuscript endorsement: A. J. Guirot (Assistant Treasurer), and two stamps: JAN 19 1863 ISSUED FROM ASSt TREAS. OFF. JACKSON. Miss and INTEREST PAID TO 1ST JANUARY 1864. AT JACKSON. This note also features a signature by A. J. Guirot on the obverse when the note was cancelled. P. 45. Condition as seen.(185mm x 75mm.).

Provenance

From the private collection of author and historian Dr DeWitt Bailey, one of the global authorities on the confederate army in the US civil war; thence by descent to his grandson.
