A carved stone jar with flared body and everted rim, frieze of scenes of combat between a feline and a rearing serpent each with calcite pellet inserts.

Property of a London gentleman; formerly with Mr Claude Boisgirard, Paris, 13-14 February 2002, lot 399; part of a family collection since the 1970s; accompanied by a copy of the auction page and the original French Archaeological Passport number 045931, dated 4 April 2002.
