Chinese Tang Terracotta Court Lady with Child
TANG DYNASTY, 618-907 A.D.
17 in. (3.8 kg, 43 cm).
Hollow-formed female figure wearing long robes tied at the chest, elaborate high coiffure; right hand emerging from the long sleeve of her chang'ao, the other extending to a small female child standing at her left knee.

Accompanied by an original thermoluminescence analysis report no.C125k84 by Oxford Authentication.

In the mid 15th century a freighting junk loaded with fine Vietnamese pottery sank in an area of the South China Sea called the 'Dragon’s Embrace.' This vessel is part of the shipwreck cargo recovered off the coast of Vietnam at Hoi An. The ceramics themselves were probably made in the area of Chu Dau. -

The Vũng Tàu shipwreck was found in the South China Sea, off the islands of Côn Đảo about 100 nautical miles from Vũng Tàu, Vietnam. The wreck was of a vessel that has been dated to about 1690 AD. A large number of fine Qing dynasty blue-and-white porcelain and other artifacts were recovered.
