Chinese Tang Large Guardian Terracotta Warrior Figure
TANG DYNASTY, 618-907 A.D. OR LATER
22 7/8 in. (5.2 kg, 58 cm).
Modelled in the round fully armoured soldier wearing a breastplate, armguards, pauldrons and a distinctive headscarf (futou); the armour worn over a coat, closed by a belt, with flaring trousers; both hands held at waist high; traces of pigment to the surfaces.

From a West Country, UK, collection, 1990s.
Accompanied by a thermoluminescence analysis report no.C118m95 from Oxford Authentication.
This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by a search certificate number no.12455-226141.
