Chinese Tang Horse and Rider
TANG DYNASTY, 618-907 A.D. OR LATER
14 1/8 in. (2.46 kg, 36 cm).
Modelled in the round on a rectangular base, the horse standing with a rounded saddlecloth with fur texture picked out in grey pigment; the rider modelled seated in the saddle, right arm straight and left arm held before the body, both in long sleeves gathered over the hands; ear absent. [No Reserve]
