Chinese Song Ceramic Temple Tile with Seated Monk Budai
SONG DYNASTY, CIRCA 960-1279 A.D.
11 5/8 x 11 3/8 in. (6.54 kg, 29.5 x 29 cm).
Rectangular with an oval niche bearing a figure of monk Budai in relief, his robe falling from his shoulders exposing his torso, holding mala beads.
