MING DYNASTY, 1368-1644 A.D OR LATER

28 in. (8.95 kg, 71 cm high).

Standing figure in floor-length tiered robes, hands folded across the chest supporting a lamb; separate head with tall rectangular cap; standing on a rectangular dais; minor abrasions.

This vessel is part of the shipwreck cargo recovered off the coast of Vietnam at Hoi An. The ceramics themselves were probably made in the area of Chu Dau.
