An indenture: handwritten in English in ink over forty-four ruled lines; with multiple signatures; red wax seals bearing impressions.

Elizabethan Period Ceramic Fire Brick Group

Comprising four bricks displaying raised designs: a crowned shield; two displaying armorials flanking an object with tiered base; facing male and female bust within roundels, swags around. 7.7 kg total, 13-14 cm
Acquired 1990s-early 2000s. East Anglian private collection.
These glazed stove or floor tiles are similar to the ones of the great hall and the Tudor kitchens at Hampton Court Palace, made of ceramic, with a glaze to make it hard-wearing and washable. Not just the furnishings, but the palaces themselves were multi-coloured, with brick walls painted red, and exposed timbers in yellow, red, green and white. -

Comprising: a pair of rectangular buckles with frames inlaid with cut and polished stones; a pair of domed elliptical buckles retaining their bars, inlaid with two rows of cut and polished stones and an engraved central border; a large domed rectangular buckle set with cut and polished stones; an oblong buckle also inlaid with cut and polished stone; articulate prongs and spindles; the stones are likely paste. 97 grams total, 27-54 mm

Shoe buckles such as these were usually transferred from one pair of shoes to another.
