Celtic Silver Plaque with Face
IRON AGE, CIRCA 1ST CENTURY B.C.
1 1/2 in. (3 1/8 in.) (8.6 grams, 38 mm (22.27 grams total, 81 mm including stand)).
Discoid with low-relief stylised human face with prominent nose, lentoid eyes, puff cheeks and leaf-shaped animal(?) ears, flattened rim with six punched suspension holes; mounted on a custom-made display stand. [No Reserve]
