Celtic Northwest Gaul. Carnutes, Potin Unit. Circa 50-30 BC. Centred on Dreux in Eure-et-Loir, North Central France. 'Type de Bû' type.

Stylised head to left, with flowing hair / Highly stylised horse consisting of three crosses with curved lines between and above; all on hashed groundline; trefoil of pellets above. Depeyrot, NC V, 117 (Carnutes); D&T 2508A (Durocassi); CCCBM III -. Extremely Fine. Rare.(2.73gr, 18mm, 10h.).

Accompanied by a copy of the Treasure Act receipt from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport. Accompanied by a copy of the Report on find of Potential Treasure for H M Coroner.
